Extensive experience in teaching, coaching, and evangelizing technology applications for the music classroom, both at the K-12 and the post-secondary or college levels. Starting with programmed instruction with tape recorders in the 1960s, to mini- and mainframe-computer applications in the 1970s, to developing an extensive library of music instruction software for the Apple II/II GS computers (Micro Music Inc.) in the 1970s, to multimedia applications for the Macintosh in the 1980s and 90s, and Internet applications in the 1990s and 2000s. Great satisfaction comes from deciphering a new technology, finding ways to put it to use in the music classroom, explaining how it works in simple, lay terms, and then speaking, demonstrating, and mentoring teachers in applying the technology to their classroom instruction.
